Frequently asked questions about using TherapOT.

How do I create a therapy note?+
Navigate to the Notes page from your dashboard. Click "New Note", select a student and session, choose a therapy cluster, pick the relevant domains, and fill in your observations. TherapOT will generate a SOAP-formatted summary automatically.
How do cluster-based notes work?+
Cluster-based notes organize documentation around four therapy clusters: Table-Top Activities, Sensory & Motor Skills, ADLs, and Access & Safety. Each cluster contains specific domains you can select. This mirrors how OTs naturally think about therapy sessions rather than forcing you into generic form fields.
Can I edit or delete a note?+
Yes. Open any note from the Notes History section and click "Edit" to modify the content or "Delete" to remove it. Edited notes retain their original creation timestamp with an updated modification date.
How do I manage my caseload?+
The Students page lets you add, edit, and search student profiles. Each profile stores diagnosis information, contact details, and links to that student's full note history and sessions.
Is my data secure?+
Yes. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, passwords are hashed with bcrypt, and authentication uses JWT tokens. We follow security best practices to protect your student data.
